The concept here was to accentuate the character of the central part of this property - a 17th C cottage dwarfed by its' 1950s extensions in the Cotswolds AONB. The cottage part was gutted and opened out into a new oak framed extension. The original stonework was exposed and cleaned so that being in the inside of the house now felt more like being in a Cotswold cottage. The opening up of the rear and extension allows views and access onto the external landscape which weren't available previously.
