This project involved the transformation of a dark and dingy basement into a wonderful living area. The concept of altering the stair position to descend down centrally led to the opening up of the whole lower ground floor onto the garden with great views. The stair design of steel and glass ties into the exposed steel beams. The upper ground floor ceiling was opened up to to allow for a roof window to light the stair and allow new light into the once dark hallway. A two storey extension was added to part of the rear to allow for a master bedroom and dining area below.
